Maine Govt. Walking School Bus Program Logo

The "Walking School Bus" is a great way to get our 4th & 5th grade students who no longer qualify for bussing to school safely, on time and with adult support! The Reiche "Walking School Bus" is up and running! Especially around this time of the year we need all the help we can get to make WSB a success. We currently are in desperate need of additional WSB volunteers, specifically a dedicated volunteer for Tuesdays and adults who can serve as on-call, "back-up" volunteers. You'll meet great adults and students, contribute in a meaningful way and enjoy an hour of cardio! Adults leave Reiche school at 7:55 sharp each morning and our route is covering Mellen, Grant, Sherman, Weymouth, Boynton, Gilman, A and C Streets. W O N ' T YOU J O I N U S ?

Contact Susan Wiggin at 874-8175 or wiggis@portlandschools.org if you're interested!
